Meet Emmanuel
I started That Therapy to create a place where real people can have real conversations about real life. My goal is to provide practical support, genuine care, and a space where you can work toward meaningful growth without feeling like you have to pretend to have everything figured out.

“Real people. Real conversations. Real progress.”
Emmanuel CuffeeWhy I Do This Work
I've always cared deeply about people — their stories, their struggles, their relationships, their faith, and the person they are becoming.
Through counseling, ministry, community leadership, and my own experiences in life, I've seen how powerful it can be when someone has a place where they can speak honestly and know they are being heard.
That Therapy was built around that idea. Counseling shouldn't feel cold or disconnected from real life. It should be a place where you can slow down, understand what's happening beneath the surface, and begin making meaningful changes.
My approach combines genuine conversation with practical tools, reflection, accountability, and evidence-informed counseling strategies tailored to the person sitting in front of me.
Training that supports real-life care.
Supported by experienced clinical supervision.
As an Associate Professional Counselor, my clinical work is completed under professional supervision. I receive ongoing clinical supervision , which provides additional professional consultation, and support as part of maintaining thoughtful and responsible client care.
Practical. Person-centered. Faith-friendly.
I take a collaborative and down-to-earth approach to counseling. You bring your story, experiences, values, and goals. Together, we work toward greater understanding and practical changes that can make a difference outside of the counseling room.
Safe & Supportive
A place where you can speak honestly, ask hard questions, and work through challenges without feeling judged.
Goal-Focused
Counseling isn't just about talking. We'll identify meaningful goals and practical steps toward the changes you want to make.
Faith Integration
For clients who desire it, Christian faith, biblical values, and spiritual reflection can be intentionally incorporated.
Real-Life Perspective
Counseling should connect with the realities of relationships, family, work, faith, responsibilities, and everyday life.
Husband. Dad. Leader. Servant.
Outside of counseling, one of the most important parts of my life is my family. I'm a husband and a dad, and those roles have shaped the way I think about relationships, responsibility, growth, grace, and what it means to show up consistently for the people you love.
Faith, family, ministry, leadership, and serving my community are significant parts of who I am. They keep me grounded and continually remind me that growth isn't just something we talk about — it's something all of us keep working toward.
Those experiences also help me understand that life can be complicated. People are often balancing relationships, work, parenting, personal goals, faith, responsibilities, and their own emotional needs at the same time.
