Emmanuel Cuffee APC, M.A.

Founder & Mental Health Counselor (under supervision)

I created That Therapy to be a space where strong people could lay down what they’ve been carrying. Whether you’re the one everyone leans on or the one silently struggling, I believe you deserve a place where you feel safe, supported, and heard.

I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and am a National Certified Counselor (NCC) actively working toward my LPC in Pennsylvania. My clinical experience includes crisis work in emergency rooms, college counseling at Ursinus College, and mentoring youth and families through my role as Youth Pastor and Daycare Director.

Whether I’m working with college students, parents, ministry leaders, or individuals navigating transitions, I approach every client with empathy, realness, and a deep belief in their ability to heal. I also hold certifications in first aid, crisis intervention, and as a SYMBIS Certified Premarital Counselor (which I facilitate alongside my wife, Isabella).

My goal isn’t just to help you function—it’s to help you thrive, in a way that aligns with your values, your faith (if that’s important to you), and your own sense of purpose.

CLINICAL SUPERVISOR

(Unavailable at That Therapy For Counseling Services)

Adam Hoover, LPC, MA

I am honored to support That Therapy as a clinical supervisor, bringing my experience and training to help foster excellence and compassion in therapeutic care. I’ve had the privilege of working with teens, adults, and couples for many years—especially those navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, or life transitions.

I'm certified in Neurosequential Model Therapeutics (NMT), trained in EMDR, and licensed in Pennsylvania as both a Professional Counselor and Behavior Specialist. My approach blends neuroscience, inner healing principles, and emotionally focused work, always with the goal of helping others experience lasting change.

Faith is central to who I am. I believe healing is possible, and I love seeing people grow into fuller, more joy-filled lives. I live in Skippack with my wife and our three children. When I'm not counseling, you'll find me outdoors, watching Philly sports, or enjoying great food and conversation.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any concerns.
